| I am interested in combining an imagined landscape with a real sense of place. My work comes from growing up in the mountains of Vermont, enjoying the waters of New England and the Caribbean (where I have lived and spent much time) and lastly New Mexico (where I currently live). I wish for the viewer’s own references be the guide for a sense of place.Recurring themes in my work include: windows, buildings, mountains and water. Patchworks are created using collage and sewing, encaustic and lots of re-use of older work. The result is an enriched compilation of ideas and textures that make up my composition. |
